NexTrend Products is the result of one man’s passion to create kitchen tools that are both simple in design and simply functional. Eric Teng, the inventing genius and President of the company, previously worked as head engineer for major corporations, but now brings his technical background to the world of kitchen tools. Starting in 2002 with a folder of carefully drafted drawings, Eric started NexTrend Products with an important, innovative little gadget, the Garlic Twist. Today, the California produced Garlic Twist has won an unprecedented six industry awards and commands international attention from England to Japan. Focusing for seven years on this bestselling first product, Eric Teng has now started to develop and produce several other ground-breaking kitchen gadgets in 2009 that are quickly making an impact on the kitchenware industry. NexTrend Products remains a family-run business based in California, selling to U.S. specialty kitchen stores and retail chains, mail-order companies and online retailers, while exporting on a large scale to countries abroad. Eric frequently appears at trade shows internationally, answering questions on how he developed each product and what he plans to develop in the future. The fact that he creates every product from scratch is illustrated in each new NexTrend package, brochure and catalog designed for the company, showcasing Eric’s original engineering drawings as the basis for each design.
